RULE OF LAW

The Law brothers Jimi and Bill grew up playing and recording music with sound engineer brother John with a passion for excellence and a competitive spirit.  Brant joined and completed the foundation of the band.

There was a period where we all went in different directions, Bill went to the UK to record three albums with two bands Dominion and My Dying Bride before moving back to Canada to join The Loving Dead. Jimi joined their west coast Canadian and US tour.

The band reunited to play a few gigs and decided to focus on writing and recording again.  After a very exhaustive search locally and online the band found Lead Singer Alex Nekrylau.

The Rule of Law project has been ongoing now for about three years, in that time the band has been recording songs with John at the engineering controls.

Rule of Law recently recorded one of their songs with Producer GGGarth Richardson (Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rise Against, Hedley, Big Wreck, Chevelle) and are initiating online presence, with s Songwriting and recording ongoing.

With over decades of experience playing, performing live, and recording, we love music with all our hearts and minds, it time to share in our musical journey.

BILL LAW - DRUMS AND LYRICS

Bill started as a local musician playing in cover bands and original acts with his brother Jimi.  Bill eventually branched out and played with several bands touring throughout western Canada in the early 1990's.

In 1996, Bill attended the Musicians Institute in Hollywood California and met a bass player from northern England - where he later traveled.  Bill hooked up with British bands "Dominion" and "My Dying Bride" and went on to record three albums for Peaceville Records, an independent British label.

Bill eventually returned to Canada and again played alongside his brother Jimi.  Recently, Bill's haunting lyrics prove that his contribution to Rule of Law goes far beyond his drumming abilities.
